This manual covers the UR Cap user interface for VIM-303 with Universal Robots.

First Steps​

Before installing the UR Cap for the VIM-303, follow the instructions from the VIM-303 Unboxing and Hardware Assembly Manual in order to get the camera powered on and able to talk to the Universal Robots pendant.

Configuring the VIM-303 Camera for PolyScope​

When using the UR Cap, PolyScope is used to program the robot and communicate with the camera, using the Universal Robots pendant.

The UR Cap requires that the camera be set to a static IP address within the same subnet as the robot. For the purposes of this manual, the camera’s default IP address of 192.168.1.47 will be used out of the box. The UR Cap is also configured by default to find cameras on this address.

To set the camera's IP address manually, refer to the VIM-303 QuickPick Manual on the Advanced Tab page and the Network Tab page for guidance on how to change these settings.
